Having succeeded with a recent corporate takeover, new management decided to reposition this industry pioneer as a leader in AMR (automated meter reading) technology. Teldata needed to define its place in this newly deregulated market.
Defined as an AMR manufacturer and software developer, Teldata was competing against established global companies such as Schlumberger and a host of others. The industry was in the midst of energy deregulation, and with new product development underway at Teldata, a strong brand presence was critical.
Tripp Design developed a new positioning, tagline, product name, and corporate identity to make the company's expertise clear to all stakeholders - and redefine the beleaguered twenty year old company as the industry pioneer and leader in AMR.
Through the development of Teldata's identity and positioning in an 8 week time period, Tripp Design enabled the company to meet its tradeshow launch for the annual AMRA event. Tripp Design continued to strengthen the Teldata brand, culminating in a successful IPO. Our integrated brand development that included collateral, exhibitory and web site extensions created a buzz in the industry and an increased market presence for Teldata.
